For best results, electrolysis should always be performed under an INTENSE MAGNIFYING LAMP with bright light backing it up in order to obtain the correct angle and proper reflection of all hairs, light or dark, straight or curved. I started going to Diane a few years ago. I tried laser hair removal and was deepy disappointed and realized it was a waste of money. The truth is, electrolsis really is the only way to permenantly remove unwanted hair. After years and years of waxing and tweezing I finally decided to give electroylsis a try. I started with my lip and eye brows, and after I began seeing results, I stated on other areas. Diane was such a pleasure during my treatments, always very professional and gentle. I am a woman of color. I have struggled with ingrown hairs on my face, chin and neck for many years. I finally realized that my tweezing, cutting, and waxing were causing ingrown hairs that were scarring my face. I finally decided to see a dermatologist who said there was nothing she could do but referred me to Electrolysis by Diane in Rye Brook NY. She advised me tht she and her associate doctors had been referring patients to Diane for many years and were very confident in her practice. I called Diane and she offered me a complimentary consultation at which time she explained the process of electrolysis and all of the causes of my ingrown hair. I was so upset because my face was being scarred over the years and it was only getting worse. I was about 14 years old when I started to get unwanted hair above my lip and chin area. It was an uncomfortable feeling at such a young age, so my mother looked into finding an electrologist for me. I am Italian and have had major hair issues my entire life. I think I have tried every option available including bleaching, waxing, shaving, tweezing and laser.
